Wiebke's View at Point Reyes Station 8"x10" coastal abstract landscape painting by Victoria Kloch
Since I moved back down to the Bay Area I have been to so many beautiful places here in California. For a longtime I have been wanting to document our hikes with an oil painting but never took the time to do so. Wienke's View is my first. What I wanted to capture in this piece are the rich colors and textures of my beautiful state. When I was a kid, I remember asking my mother why are the hills all dry and yellow? She so beautifully replied that they are our golden hills. After that I saw them with different eyes and appreciated the amazing contrast between the sky, deep green trees and our golden hills. Mr. Wiebke your favorite view was breathtaking and thank you Mom for helping me see.
