New Beginning - hard edge geometric oil painting by Victoria Kloch I'm super excited about my newest series of minimal geometrics. This piece is only the beginning. When I create my compositions, there is a lot of things to consider. The balance of color and shape placement is intentional. Every shape with it's color has to work together in harmony from the tip top corners that must work with the bottom corners and throughout using everything in between. My love for these pieces is driven by the challenge each piece presents itself. Now here's the test that they do work as great design. As I studied my complicated works I found vignettes that can stand on their own. I am over top, brimming with joy to get started on these colorful minimal hard edge abstracts. This one is my first. A Face In The Crowd 48"x48" oil abstract expressionism by Victoria Kloch
I am one of those of people that can't help seeing faces in abstract paintings. This piece will keep you busy for a very long time. Pan down to the next image and what do you see? Waiting For Indigo, geometric oil abstract painting by Victoria Kloch
I've painted all kinds of abstracts. Most have been absolutely spontaneous with no preconceived thoughts of where to begin other then the color. Painting like that is a lot of fun and I love happy accidents when it comes to design. But if truth be told, I love painting geometrics the most. I love having to take hold and control the composition. If one thing is off, it throws the whole painting off. It challenges my brain, and I like that. Lately I've been working on my geometrics with organic shapes. These are oil paintings with bright saturated color. The piece you see here is called 'Tree House'. So far I have five completed pieces and you can see them by clicking on this link NEW COLLECTION. I'm currently working on one in the same series that is 30"x48". _Victoria Glass Half Full - 18"x14" Oil Abstract on Canvas by Victoria Kloch - Sold
The glass half empty or the glass half full. I choose the glass half full. I find that it makes for a much happier life. This oil painting is finally dry and ready to find a new home. I used a limited palette in prussian blue, deep permanent rose and white. This made for some interesting contrast. Black On White - 48"x48"x 1.5" deep - oil painting by Victoria Kloch
This is a classic black and white or is it white on black? For the buyer who is interested in this large piece as of today, 2/25/2019 it is still drying but should be ready to go out the door safety by mid March. Madison - 4"x4" Abstract Oil Painting - by Victoria Kloch - Sold

I finished this commissioned oil painting a month ago. Now that it has cured enough to move it, I can apply the temporary varnish and pack it up to send to it's new home.
This small oil painting was inspired by our hike down to the ocean on the Tennessee Valley Trail in California. The day was pure magic and I can hardly wait to go back.
A Sandy Path - 8"x10" oil painting by Victoria Kloch The beaches along the coast of California are breathtaking. This sandy trail in Pescadero was lined with wind swept tall grasses that I could not resist painting. |
