Zen Bones - 48"x48" - commission Zen Bones - 16"x16" original
Strangely enough I try not to get to attached to individual pieces of work. It helps me to move forward when I can let go of these pieces and move on to the next. But this piece, I don't know why, it just won't let go. I know I have a deep attachment to structured geometric shapes and the color palette to Zen Bones brings to me a sense of calm in a soft dreamy almost misty feel. Recently I was approached with an inquire if it was possible to do this piece in 48"x48 using a warmer gray. Mission accomplished. I was so happy I took this project on to see it large was very exciting and I was able to elaborate with more detail then the smaller version. For me this piece was pure heaven to work on as it took me on a journey the helped me learn about my own work as an artist. Doing such a piece was like peeling an onion from the inside out and that is always fun.
