My clients in New York shared with me a picture of my watercolor painting after they got it back from the framer. I especially love how they are displaying the deckled edges of this beautiful paper. This was their first piece of original artwork to start their collection and I could not be more honored.

Luna - 36"x24" acrylic on canvas by Victoria Kloch Icy pink, black, earthy green and white. This is one of those paintings that was purely by accident from start to finish. I started out with the earthy green background. Ok, now what do I do with this? I like to build up my background first so I went with another dark color, black with lots of texture. Ok, now I'm getting nervous. What am I going to do with this?!? I know pink! Ha ha...... icy pink contrary force of yin to the earthy green yang. From there it flowed and all of the sudden, there was a face. Normally I try not to paint faces when I paint modern expressionism, but this was destined to be a face, a female face of the moon. it just wouldn't work any other way and all within a geometric composition. All I can say is wow am I happy. I just listed this piece. Click on the image for availability. Untitled 1/1/2019, original abstract painting by Victoria Kloch, inspired by Jackson Pollock I've have painted a few of these now by using sticks from trees like Pollock did to sling and spatter paint on paper. As I mentioned before in another post, the challenge is to create a composition with balance and interest. What I love about doing these on natural art paper it has an airiness about it showing each individual drip and splat. For this piece I used gray and black. Over the Purple Hill - 12"x12" acrylic on canvas board by Victoria Kloch - Sold This small painting sold a while back. It was just one of those paintings that I just loved. I do have it available in prints up to 45"x45". Destiny - watercolor and silver ink - 7" x 5.5" mounted with mat on a 10"x 8" backboard by Victoria Kloch With my Mid Century design, I'm bringing it into the future. I love how the geometric pattern of silver ink catches the light in this close up. Click on the image to purchase. Madison - 4"x4" Abstract Oil Painting - by Victoria Kloch - Sold

My painting Reflection just sold. Bring it on January. This on-line representation this does not do this piece justice. The aqua and the blue glows like an oil painting and now it is off to it's new home. The Emperor's Garden - 26"x24" acrylic on canvas - by Victoria Kloch - Sold 2019 is off to a good start. The Emperor's Garden has found a home. I love this color palette and I plan on working with it again soon. Happy New Year everyone! Untitled 1231 - paint on 22"x30" Arches oil paper - inspired by Pollock - by Victoria Kloch
Out of the five pieces that I have created so far, this one is my favorite. #jackson Pollock, #Victoria Kloch, #splatter painting, #original art Untitled 12/30, by Victoria Kloch, 22"x30" acrylic on arches oil paper with deckled edges
I started splattering paint on paper in 2009. My pieces were small at that time and most of them have been sold. If you want to see them Google 'Color Spots by Victoria Kloch' they most likely pop up. In 2018 I started studying the work of Jackson Pollock. Initially it looks fairly easy to do, but it really takes decision making and design skills to bring out a composition. I loved how this piece worked out. This piece will be sold un framed. Staged here horizontally but works vertical too. © Copyright Victoria Kloch All Rights Expressly Reserved. Walking with Pollock 36"x36"x1.5" by Victoria Kloch
Painted in 2018 This painting was inspired by Jackson Pollock. Here I've combined his use of black splatters over my own way of painting color fields. I found this a very exciting process that created a timeless elegant piece. © copyright Victoria Kloch and Kurt Wedgley |
