Outside The Box - 48"x48" geometric expressionism oil abstract by Victoria Kloch
Soft, lively and big all at the same time. I decided to paint over the painting below called Face in the Crowd using sections of the original painting exposed. Now I'm really happy I did. If you know me I'm really not one to use a lot of pink, but this Salmon pink is breathtaking and will become the show piece in the room. Please ask for availability. A Face In The Crowd 48"x48" oil abstract expressionism by Victoria Kloch
I am one of those of people that can't help seeing faces in abstract paintings. This piece will keep you busy for a very long time. Pan down to the next image and what do you see? It's fun to look back on what I was painting 10 years ago. This was a small watercolor that sold early on. I wish I had a scanner back then. It would have made a really great print in large format.
#victoriaklochart #expressionism #watercolorabstract Aves 30"x30" acrylic on canvas by Victoria Kloch
I've been working with the same colors as the previous three that I painted, and I just finished this piece yesterday. Still going with an organic geometric composition. I have no idea why I'm so attracted to square shapes. But what I do know is that I see birds here, do you? Continuing on with my latest pieces. This is 'House of Glass' 36"x36" acrylic on canvas by Victoria Kloch
It seems like I can't get enough of this color palette. I just love it. I started this painting without any preconceived ideas on where to begin, so I just drove right in. The spontaneous reactions brought some very happy accidents. This commission piece is a re-creation of 'A Cloud Above'. This work is 50"x60" with sixteen custom colors.
Glass Half Full - 18"x14" Oil Abstract on Canvas by Victoria Kloch - Sold
The glass half empty or the glass half full. I choose the glass half full. I find that it makes for a much happier life. This oil painting is finally dry and ready to find a new home. I used a limited palette in prussian blue, deep permanent rose and white. This made for some interesting contrast. Salt Water Taffy - 24"x36" - oil painting by Victoria Kloch When I was growing up, my Grandfather would stop by MacFarlane's Candy Co. in Oakland on his way to visit bring us a bag of salt water taffy. The colors of this painting reminds of those visits with the most mouth watering taffy that emerged as our eager little fingers unwrapped the wax paper. That was a very long time ago, but the memory is so clear. Forar - 20"x24" acrylic on canvas by Victoria Kloch
Trying something different. This is my second abstract floral painting with a pink and lavender color palette. I've always adored the work by mid century artist and illustrator 'Vera'. I'm not sure where I'm headed, but I sure am having fun. Black On White - 48"x48"x 1.5" deep - oil painting by Victoria Kloch
This is a classic black and white or is it white on black? For the buyer who is interested in this large piece as of today, 2/25/2019 it is still drying but should be ready to go out the door safety by mid March. Luna - 36"x24" acrylic on canvas by Victoria Kloch Icy pink, black, earthy green and white. This is one of those paintings that was purely by accident from start to finish. I started out with the earthy green background. Ok, now what do I do with this? I like to build up my background first so I went with another dark color, black with lots of texture. Ok, now I'm getting nervous. What am I going to do with this?!? I know pink! Ha ha...... icy pink contrary force of yin to the earthy green yang. From there it flowed and all of the sudden, there was a face. Normally I try not to paint faces when I paint modern expressionism, but this was destined to be a face, a female face of the moon. it just wouldn't work any other way and all within a geometric composition. All I can say is wow am I happy. I just listed this piece. Click on the image for availability. Untitled 1/1/2019, original abstract painting by Victoria Kloch, inspired by Jackson Pollock I've have painted a few of these now by using sticks from trees like Pollock did to sling and spatter paint on paper. As I mentioned before in another post, the challenge is to create a composition with balance and interest. What I love about doing these on natural art paper it has an airiness about it showing each individual drip and splat. For this piece I used gray and black. The Emperor's Garden - 26"x24" acrylic on canvas - by Victoria Kloch - Sold 2019 is off to a good start. The Emperor's Garden has found a home. I love this color palette and I plan on working with it again soon. Happy New Year everyone! Oversized color field painting 'I Can See' an acrylic and charcoal on canvas 60"x48"x1.50" by Victoria Kloch I am so in love with this piece. Available for purchase. Giclee print of the original painting 'Feelin Good' by Victoria Kloch
I love everything about this room! My client sent me a photo of her baby's nursery where she used the reproduction of 'Feelin Good'. To me, it is so refreshing to see a piece of art that is something other then farm animals, unicorns or Winnie the Pooh for a nursery. This piece will grow with her long into her adult years. Frame of Mind - 9"x12" watercolor by Victoria Kloch I ran across this image when I was going through my photos of my paintings for Saatchi, so I thought I would share it with you. I had forgotten how beautiful the colors were in this piece. How do you get a huge painting shipped to Brazil? Kurt makes me a sturdy crate, that's how we do it! What you can't see is that on the end pieces, there is a disk that fits inside of the tube that the painting is rolled on. That way the painting is completely suspended without touching the sides. completely protected. Below shows the foam board over the painting. He than places heavy shipping cardboard over that. Love Could Move a Mountain - 30"x30" acrylic on canvas by Victoria Kloch What can I say about this painting that it can't say on it's own, so I will step back now and let the painting speak to you. Three Shades of Gold - 30"x40" by Victoria Kloch - Sold Elegant Gold, I never get tired of painting with gold metallic acrylics. I find the reflective nature very exciting as it picks up different colors in the room. No wonder it's so popular. No Matter What - 14"x18" and Lovin the Yellow - 14"x18" - acrylic on canvas by Victoria Kloch
This small pair really has the pow factor with mid century modern expressionism. At this time both are available separately or as a pair. Joy - 24.5" x 19.5" acrylic on un-stretched canvas by Victoria Kloch - Sold
For me, this was an emotional piece. There are times when a painting can be come challenging. Kurt and I call it 'The Agony and the Ecstasy'. With this piece it flowed with excitement from start to finish. Reflections - 24"x24"x1.5" - acrylic on structured canvas - by Victoria Kloch
Coastal living inspired. As the blues and aqua move across a background of white for me they bring emotions of renew like refreshing water. This piece is now available and ready to hang. I just finished my commission for these two color field paintings. The blue painting is 24"x30" that was re-created from an older painting I did last year called 'Finding Sea Glass', it was the inspiration for the sister painting next to is measuring 18"x24". I set out to design these so my client could hang either single or together and I think this idea worked out perfectly.
Custom painting is available. 24x30, 18x24 24x30, 18x24 24x30, 18x24 This small oil painting was inspired by our hike down to the ocean on the Tennessee Valley Trail in California. The day was pure magic and I can hardly wait to go back.
