Luna - 36"x24" acrylic on canvas by Victoria Kloch Icy pink, black, earthy green and white. This is one of those paintings that was purely by accident from start to finish. I started out with the earthy green background. Ok, now what do I do with this? I like to build up my background first so I went with another dark color, black with lots of texture. Ok, now I'm getting nervous. What am I going to do with this?!? I know pink! Ha ha...... icy pink contrary force of yin to the earthy green yang. From there it flowed and all of the sudden, there was a face. Normally I try not to paint faces when I paint modern expressionism, but this was destined to be a face, a female face of the moon. it just wouldn't work any other way and all within a geometric composition. All I can say is wow am I happy. I just listed this piece. Click on the image for availability.
