I am honored to have worked with IA Architects out of San Francisco, Ca. for the purchase of six soft pastel paintings from my Going to the Ocean collection. Last week Kurt and I installed them in the Wells Fargo Financial Service in Stockton, Ca. We were all very excited how this project all came together.

Rose Bud, 9"x12", white charcoal on black pastel paper
I absolutely love working with this medium. Drawing with pastels and charcoal pencils are somehow rewarding. For those who work with them, know what I mean. They can be layered, blended and there is zero drying time. My small black and whites just make me happy. They are created spontaneously starting with a simple shape that grows and develops into a story. This painting was commissioned in 2017. It measures 88"x78". The colors of this piece were requested by my client.
Out of the Box - available
Geometric abstract 54"x64" unstretched I just finished this piece. Not sure why, but I always feel energized when I create these. There is just something so challenging about working in this type of design that is so satisfying. There are so many things to consider. The size of each shape, the color and where it goes in conjunction of each other. I absolutely love the process. 'The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.' _Hans Hofmann Boardwalk - 24"x30" - coastal, textured oil color field painting - Gerhard Richter inspired,
Soft contrast with beachy colors in coral, blue, neutral green and cream ready to hang with painted white sides. Peach Sherbet - oversized abstract color field, 55"x64" unstretched, Gerhard Richter inspired.
With multiple layers of warm and cool orange over blues, burnt sienna, gray and green created a very exciting color field. I'm super excited to share my new series of pastel abstracts with you. These are inspired by the west coast where I live. Seaport - Soft Pastels on 30"x22" oil paper. For availability, you can check the menu under paintings. I've been to the Port of Oakland several times on our friend's Carver. We were able to see first-hand the backside of this busy port. Each visit was meant by huge cargo ships filled sky high with containers from China. We watched the giant cranes lift the cargo containers in the air maneuvering them with ease. We also watched as the cargo ships headed back home to China. . . they were empty. Third Cello, 26"x72" - Sold
This painting was purchased by Wells Fargo Bank in San Franciso to be installed at their Market Street branch. Holiday - 24"x30" - original abstract by Victoria Kloch

This painting is a geometric hard edge with white lines. It measures 24"x36" x 1.5". It's colorful, bold and one of my favorites. This was a journey of love and hate. It took me from 2018 to 2022 of going back and forth repainting it before I felt I could walk away and call it finished. Monsoon painted in 2018 watercolor color field abstract painting
is now available in giclee print with options for framing. Click here 'Purple Haze' A color field painting from 2014. This piece was inspired as we came back from a walk in Sunol as the sun was starting to set. Sold

Hidden In Plain Sight - acrylic abstract by Victoria Kloch - 72"x26" unstretched - ships rolled
Color palette neutral grey and white. Windswept - 24"x24"x1.5" oil landscape by Victoria Kloch
A lone Cypress standing its ground. If you look closely, you will see the sun gently peeking through the fog. I love many kinds of trees, but the Cypress on the Pacific coast of California is my favorite of all. With bended trunks and wind-swept asymmetric shapes their stately presence is nothing less than majestic. Fog At Summit View Park 36"x24" oil landscape abstract by Victoria Kloch Inspired from my walk with Kurt. See images below. Summit View Trail Park - San Ramon, California Me: Kurt, let's leave early and go take a walk in the fog.
Kurt: I don't think so. It's too cold and damp out. Me: It will be fun. Come on, walking in the fog is the best. Kurt: Ok, let's go. . . . . . .We had a great walk! I love the fog and now Kurt does too. It all started here. This commissioned piece with pink trees lead me to my collection of abstract landscapes with pink trees. 'I LIKE PINK TREES'
Mavericks, 24"x36" acrylic on ready to hang canvas, by Victoria Kloch
Mavericks, California Surfing Location Mavericks is a surfing location in northern California outside Pillar Point Harbor, just north of the town of Half Moon Bay at the village of Princeton-by-the-Sea. After a strong winter storm in the northern Pacific Ocean, waves can routinely crest at over 25 ft and top out at over 60 ft. Routinely, waves that break can be recorded on seismometers. The break is caused by an unusually shaped underwater rock formation. The eyes are the window to your soul. _William Shakespear In Your Eyes 72"x58" color field abstract by Victoria Kloch Color field abstracts are considered to be emotional painting. It plays on your moods and feelings because your mind isn't searching to identify objects and shapes. Blues are the hardest colors to edit for on-line, so I will attempt to explain what I see in-person. This color field was painted with high-end Golden acrylic paint that gave me the results of an oil painting just as I had hoped for. I used two blues with Prussian Blue being the dominate one. In person this piece shows each blue as it pulls you in like the depth of the ocean. The bottom blue has a slight jewel-like blue/green cast. This piece is my first completed work of 2022. Palette colors used for 'In Your Eyes'
My current project is listing my latest set of 12 oil paintings in the series 'I Like Pink Trees'. Four down, eight to go. The theme is four seasons of abstract landscapes with pink trees. I call the painting above 'Pink Tree Stands In Silence'. I am pink-tree-crazy in love with pink trees. Pink has never been a color that I would consider my go-to color, but at this time I am obsessed with it when it comes to trees. Who would have thought?
